A Love Story

Jackson

Jackson......my oldest grandson....how I love him...He is sooo fun to be around and watch how he interacts with ALL of us at home. Every morning I open the blinds and say "Hello World"...welcoming a new day.......but Jackson thinks that's just wrong! It should be "Hello People"......so I say my greeting and he says his.......already we have our distinct personalities......isn't that marvelous! 

Books

Hello World!.........I was lucky to sleep in this moring (thanks honey)..........because I stayed up toooo late reading a GREAT book....."Eve's Daughters, by Lynn Austin. The story is about 4 women, and their lives, starting in the 1800's to 1980. The ultimate theme is God's grace to us if only we will receive it.......Lynn Austin writes wonderful stories, totally keeping you hooked all the way thru.... with the underlining message of God's love. Great Reading!!!

AND.......yesterday..reading Dawn's Journal Journeys (a new blog about artful jounaling) she mentioned Strathmore Visual Journal Workshops and I quickly went to the site, (after I commented on how much I liked her new journal!) and signed up for the Recycled workshop (the active class is over but all the pdf.s and videos are still available). The info is great for those of us starting out to do artfull/mixed media journaling....and yes........I'm heading that direction. I can continue to make my own books and then use them for the journaling...it's all sooo exciting..be still my heart!!

Weekend Done!

Hello World!.........what a great time our families had over the Easter weekend. The boys met the Easter bunny, petted REAL bunnies.........and hunted for eggs. Food was served, pictures taken...worshiped at church and now..........and I'm toast! But please look at the darling pic.......it's so Wonderful to have grandkids....

Almost Easter

Hello World!
.........it's almost Easter! This holiday, for those who follow Jesus, is a time to reflect on what He did for all of mankind.
 His love for all people...

           and His obedience to His Father.....
                    giving His life on the cross........
                          taking all our sins upon Himself.....
                                  so we can come to the Father.
What a gift to us!.........and one that I am sooo thankful for.

And.... now that I have grandchildren (and their parents).......sharing our home with us, the boys are all excited about the Easter Bunny, colored eggs, and CANDY!! what joy they bring to our home. So I had to make something to celebrate the two views of Easter in our home and I created a bunting...that says"He is Risen".
 

The picture is dark but that is the best I could get. Do you also see all the kids toys on the patio? What a crazy wonderful life!!
